Featuring the musical compositional techniques of phase, repetition and pulse, with sounds of New York recorded from a 16th floor hotel window, this sonic poem by Tom Kazas and Josephine Scicluna is a plea for the intimately spoken word.  As cockatoos rise in the white siren sky, two lovers confront love and time in a halting conversation inside a placeless shelter.

Originally presented at the Double Dialogues Conference: ‘The 21st century – The Event, The Subject, The Artwork’, University of the South Pacific, Fiji, 23rd September, 2013. This audio recording will appear in the forthcoming issue of Double Dialogues In/Stead online journal. An accompanying discursive article ‘Love, Politics, Time’ will appear in the forthcoming issue of Double Dialogues online journal.
